The Ten Year Gift

So many wonderful things are happening this year. Scott Central Attendance Center received another big blessing this week.  Before I tell you the amazing news, let me tell you about this amazing lady, Mrs. Kathleen Riser. Mrs. Riser assists with teaching the high school band. She has done an amazing job, and the students love her as we do. She has a degree in Music Education and has taught Band for over 25 years. She has her own private studio and gives private lessons after school. She is a skilled percussionist who is also our choir director and elementary music teacher. We are blessed to have her here at Scott Central Attendance Center.

Mrs. Riser's husband graduated from Scott Central Attendance Center in 1993. The amazing news is she has made a very generous donation in his name - The Jody B. Riser Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $5,000.00.  It states that $500.00 per year for ten years will be awarded to a senior who has overcome diversity in their life with integrity and strength. She would like for that person to be selected by the school administration each year here forward.

Spreading kindness continues in many ways here at Scott Central Attendance Center. This gift will continue to give year after year for years to come. Mrs. Kathleen Riser, on behalf of the whole school and students to receive it, we humbly thank you. This truly is a gift from you and your husband, who will be forever remembered.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
